Remember the Guardians of the Galaxy pinball cabinets that caused a buzz on Facebook a couple months ago? It appears these pins are finished! Check out pics of the machines (pics courtesy of Escapism Pinball’s Facebook page, which you can find here). See below for the full story on these machines.

A couple weeks ago this photo from a Facebook post showed three cabinets for a Guardians of the Galaxy pinball machine. The post was accompanied with the caption “Escapism Pinball is pretty brave.” It is largely rumored that Stern has the license for Guardians of the Galaxy, so this left people scratching their pinheads.
TWIP reached out to Escapism Pinball, which is located in South Africa, to get the scoop on these mystery pinball machines. It turns out that these machines are being made for Universal Studios in South Africa for promotional items. There will only be three produced. These will be made new from scratch, but the playfield will be based the playfield from Bally Eight Ball and the rules will be tweaked from that game. Escapism Pinball will use their own electronics and nearly everything on the machine will be made locally in South Africa.
